As we go into our second ever national lockdown – hopefully for just four weeks – here’s our guide to what DISC can still do for you.
Office or home visits. These can still go ahead but we must observe social distancing guidelines wherever possible. We are also wearing face masks at all times, using alcohol based hand gels and wipes if required. The time people spend together is also a function when comparing infection rates so we are minimising the time we need to spend on site. Sometimes we can prepare at our office before the visit and for others we may need to complete a repair by removing your computer and returning later. All of these solutions have been employed by DISC previously but usually with the aim of reducing the disruption to your computing life – now the aim is more personal and about reducing the possibility of spreading the disease.
Some faults can be rectified remotely so we will endeavour to use this sort of connection when it’s available. Of course if your Internet connection is not functioning we may be unable to offer this option. As the Internet provides one of the best communication systems during lockdown most users will need any problems resolving quickly. The lack of contact with family & friends, working from home and on-line shopping have suddenly become major issues in most people’s lives. Once DISC have restored your connection a remote access solution may be able to fix the other problems you’re experiencing.
If you are having problems with your computer and are not sure how the lockdown rules affect you call DISC now on 0191 236 7839 to discuss the options available.
